“A niche market is a focused targetable portion (subset) of a market sector.
By definition, then, a business that focuses on a niche market is addressing a need for a product or service that is not being addressed by mainstream providers. A niche market may be thought of as a narrowly defined group of potential customers.
A distinct niche market usually evolves when a potential demand for a product or service is not met by any supply, or when a new demand arises due to changes in society, technology, or the general environment.”
If you are already apart of many affiliate programs don’t worry because this will help you understand how to continually be able to enter a market and dominate that market because you understand niche marketing. Niche Marketing is defined on wikipedia as.. “Niche marketing is the process of finding and serving profitable market segments and designing custom-made products or services for them.”
“Online niche marketing, an often used technique for affiliate marketers. By seeking out smaller segments of larger markets, a website can be developed and promoted quickly to uniquely serve a targeted and usually loyal customer base, giving the affiliate a small but regular income stream. This technique is then repeated across several other niche websites until a desired income level is achieved.” When picking the niche you think is most suitable for you there are procedures you want to go through to ensure that you are entering a market that people desire more information about. You want to find out how much people are searching for terms related to the niche you want to start a website about, be an affiliate for or start a blog about or if you want to do them all together . I am going to start by talking to you about starting a website to boost traffic to your affiliate page and later we can get into blogging and targeting traffic to your affiliates through blogging. You have the choice of being a regular affiliate or a ‘Super-Affiliate’ and I would love if you are interested in the latter because if you aren’t trying to be a ‘Super-Affiliate’ then your wasting your time. ‘Super-Affiliates’ try to ensure that the traffic they get to their affiliate pages are as targeted as possible and as desperate as possible through niche marketing. You can ensure that people are searching for information related to your niche by using word trackers or if you are apart of Google Adwords you can get access to their keyword tool for free but they don’t give you exact figures for keywords they have a rating system based on low, average & high search volume but you can also search google for a ‘free wordtracker’ and find a wordtracker you can use and have an idea of how much people are searching for the keywords related to your website. After you have done enough research on the niche you are interested in and the keywords related to the website you are interested in starting then you want to start adding as much content to your website related to the keywords that you have found to be searched for a lot and that are not necessarily oversaturated. Just search Google for the terms that you are interested in using for your website or blog and get an idea of how saturated that market is. You can began regularly adding content to your website now and you should also set up your affiliate banners and place them in different places on the page and run tests to see which ad placement gets you the most clicks but we can speak more about that when you have some good traffic.. this will come with all these steps we are taking but now that you have your page set up with your content and affiliates we need some immediate traffic to start testing our clicks to our affiliates.
