8 Suggestions for Weight Training Routines

1. Do not over complicate your workout routine. Leave the work to your muscles not your brain. Most people get bored of a routine that is too long.

2. Short and Hard workouts are better than long and lax. The harder you work the shorter your workouts should be. Instead of lifting weights for an hour with a weight you can easily manage. Do short slow reps of a weight that gives you a good challenge.

3. Dont waste a second of time. When weight training, it is important to keep your breaks between reps to under a minute. There is one exception to this rule, and that applies to strength training. Otherwise keep your breaks short. There is no need to spend all day in the gym, be efficient, in and out.

4. It is important to be progressive. Increase the difficulty of your routines in increments. This is to avoid feelings of boredom and frustration. This can be done by shortening the break time between reps, sowing your reps and concentrating on your form as well as changing the routine.

5. Pay attention to the details. It is important to pay attention to the limb lengths, size and the speed of movement. These are factors that make a big difference in the success of a weight training routines success. Make sure the relevant machines are set to the right height for the varying limb lengths.

6. Be aware of every single movement your body makes. It is important for you to get in the "zone". Think about your workout as a way to relief stress, it can be used to meditate. Your workout can be used to strengthen the relationship between mind and body.

7. Maximize your reps. The thing most people that go to the gym do wrong is to not put in enough effort. They simply do a rep they can manage, but never push themselves that extra mile. That one extra lift does make the difference. It is important for us to max out, not to over do it an get sick but for example if your doing reps of ten and you realize that u could do one or two more with an extra effort.

8. Play safe. Trust your body to tell you when your putting yourself at risk. If your routine is putting too much stress on your body, it can negatively affect you.
Too many people dont recognize the injuries that can occur due to unsafe practices. By lifting way more
than they can manage. This results in them injuring ligaments, muscles and joints. The most common mistakes
made are: arching the back and moving too fast.
